Arts Festival Color Splash Run
Sunday June 27th, 9am
The Color Splash Run is a 3km self-timed fundraising event. At various points around the track, the runners are doused in colored powder. Once the race is over, the fun continues in the Shoreline Arts Festival Community Tent. Then come and celebrate the arts with us at 10am when the Festival opens!

Bag check
We will have bag check available at the race. Please make sure you arrive with enough time to spare.
Parking/Transportation
We highly recommend you arrive early for this event. This event runs in conjunction with the Shoreline Arts Festival, so you'll want to avoid the rush! We encourage you to use public transportation, carpool and arrive early to hang out at Community Tent.
Volunteer
We rely heavily on our amazing volunteers! If you'd like to assist with check-in, handing out water, spraying the crowd with color, or assisting in clean up, we need you! Link coming soon.
Post race throwing?
At the finish line, we provide runners with a bag of color. More bags can be purchased from our info tents. We will also have an artistic backdrop for creative photo ops.
What happens if there is bad weather?
A little rain doesn't stop us in Washington! It should actually make the colors brighter! Should there be severe weather that does hinder the event, you will hear from us should such an event occur.
Can I run with my dog?
Sorry no, for safety reasons we don't allow people to run with their furry friends.
Can children participate?
If your child can cover the 3kms of The Color Run course (while running, jogging, walking, or strolling), they can absolutely participate! Children 0-3 are free.
What is the color pack made from?
Our color powder is all non-toxic. The colors contain a blend of food grade cornstarch, FD&C and D&C dyes (food, drug and cosmetic dyes) and baking soda. We suggest running with the glasses provided to prevent it getting in your eyes. Our staff throwing the colors make sure to aim low throughout the race.
Will the color stain my clothes?
The color mostly washes out after the event (be sure to wash as early as possible). We provide a white tshirt to show the color, and wear other clothes and shoes you don't mind getting colorful. Bring a towel/sheet for your car! If you do get some in the car, it can be vacuumed easily.
